Every Monday join us on ZOOM.
All levels of experience are welcome to partake as members take turns sitting for the others to draw or paint. Portrait sessions include short and longer poses to make up the two hours. You may choose any medium to work in.

ANYTHING GOES! / SATURDAY DROP IN
Join Betty Moore and Lorraine Maher on Saturday's for a fun afternoon of art. Bring your own supplies. All levels welcome! Free for members, $10 for non-members.
BAC will host Saturday drop-ins alternating between watercolour and "anything goes". Sessions will run from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Lorraine Maher will host the watercolour and Betty Moore will host "anything goes".
Weekly Wednesday morning “Open Studio” Drop In from 10:00-12:30 pm.
Continues each Wednesday unless the club is closed for holidays, weather or other reasons.
This will be similar to “Anything Goes”, where members can bring in whatever art piece they are working on as well as their own art supplies and materials. Nancy was a Simcoe County high school Visual Art teacher for almost 30 years and she can offer some advice, but only if so desired. If you are happy to just work away on your own, that is great too!
If you are looking for a little art camaraderie, this may be the drop in for you. Nancy is hoping to create a comfortable space where members can come and create! All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced!
FREE to members, non-members can attend for a $10 fee per session.

The Mane Event: Painting outdoors and in studio
FULL-DAY SESSIONS: FRIDAY AND SATURDAY Workshop
Description
This workshop is an excellent opportunity to use your own photo images to compose a painting. You will also be working from life, the best teacher there is. Day 1 will be on location at McHardy's Horse Farm, where we will have plein air demonstrations and opportunities to paint and take photographs for future reference. Day 2 will be at Barrie Art Club Studio continuing to learn how to integrate reference photo images into our plein air paintings.
About the Artist
As an artist, Sam Paonessa feels most at home in a natural environment. Painting en plein air nourishes his soul and adds a spiritual dimension to his artistic experience. His award-winning body of work also includes many still life, urban landscapes, and figurative pieces. A member of the Ontario Society of Artists, Sam is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art (now OCADU). In a distinguished career that spans five decades, his proficiency as an illustrator and artist was developed and honed in a lengthy tenure at Hallmark Cards Canada. Many original pieces he created there have been widely reproduced and have enjoyed commercial success throughout North America and overseas. More details about Sam's experience is detailed in the Course Outline.
