Using a birch panel (purchased from an art store), we will be painting a landscape vignette, allowing a good portion of the woodgrain to show. Students will be asked to prime the panel with two coats of clear gesso prior to the class. Lightly sand after each application of gesso.

About the Artist

Cathy is a professional oil painter who owns and operates her own art gallery in Midland, Ontario. She is a prolific painter, completing approximately 100 paintings a year. She teaches daily at her gallery, and offers a unique monthly Mentorship Program to interested painters. Cathy’s paintings have been collected worldwide.
