About the Gala

Barrie Art Club’s 75th Anniversary Gala celebrated a thriving community of artists and art lovers!

Founded in 1949, the Barrie Art Club (BAC) has flourished through the decades—during a time when rock 'n roll was born and bold artists like Pollock and de Kooning were reshaping the art world. From poodle skirts to Ford Thunderbirds, so much has changed, but our passion for art endures.

This milestone event showcased local talent through a Silent Auction, live art demonstrations, and exciting performances, with locally crafted trophies honouring the evening’s winners. This exclusive celebration of 75 years of creativity, community, and artistic expression went off without a hitch!
