**ONLINE WORKSHOP** Creative Editing the Landscape
3 HOUR SINGLE SESSION: THURSDAY Workshop
Sam will share his process of painting in acrylic explaining the necessity to develop the skill in editing reference material and when painting plein air. Helpful layering techniques to achieve rich textures and vibrant colours. Techniques using mediums along with palette knife, shapers and brayers will be demonstrated to inspire you in your creative journey. Learn how to edit reference material and interpret the landscape with more creativity. Having a toned under painting (yellow/orange or pale purple or personal choice) in either acrylic or oil is recommended. NOTE: PAINTING DEMO will be done on a landscape shape (12 X 16) panel or canvas.
About the Artist
Sam Paonessa AOCA, OSA is a graduate from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. His career as a professional artist spanned over 30 years with Hallmark Cards. During that period Sam traveled and painted plein air landscapes in North America, Italy and Morocco. As an active member of the Ontario Society of Artists, he has been sharing his valuable experience gaining recognition as an accomplished painting workshop instructor for numerous art groups across Ontario.
