With acrylic paints, the fun really begins when you add acrylic mediums to the mix. Barbara Stofast will explore many possibilities of gel medium with you.
Students will create a series on a single subject. Each portrayal will explore a different technique using acrylic gel medium. Lesson exercises will create a ‘sampler quilt’ of different application methods: embedded texture, glazing, skins, photo transfers, adhering...
Use these techniques to work on your own 18” x24” painting over the 4 weeks, choosing from your new techniques toolbox what resonates for you, or what suits the piece you wish to create. 

All paint, mediums, and substrates for the lesson series will be provided.
