Coneflower Painting with Watercolour and Photo
ONE FULL DAY: THURSDAY Workshop
This workshop will combine a photograph of coneflowers (or bring your own photo reference) with watercolours on matte board. The drawn image will extend from the photograph onto the matte board. Students may bring their own photo, but keep the picture simple, not too complicated (two identical photos needed 5”x 7”).
Coneflower reference and transfer will also be provided for those who are intimidated to draw. Written step by step instructions will be provided, as well as demonstrations.
This process can be applied to produce unique and original future paintings.
About the Artist:
Bev is primarily a watercolour artist who enjoys teaching and plein air painting while traveling abroad. Her work is based upon drawings from art journals, photos, observation and imagination. Her watercolour approach varies with each reference. Many times, she incorporates the medium with pen, melted wax, photography and scratch art. Bev as an artist, teacher and mentor, continues to grow, explore, experiment and learn through her own experiences and from her students.
