Explore some new techniques creating texture for a variety of subjects for landscape elements and structures. Utilizing tools like shapers, rags, palette knives, etc. along with moulding paste, gesso and gels you will discover ways to bring dynamic layered vitality to your work. Exercises creating elements of the landscape will be shown. The workshop encourages doing individual studies of elements rather than a finished work. Demos will be provided as well as group and one-on-one instruction.

About the Artist

Sam Paonessa AOCA, OSA is a graduate from the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. His career as a professional artist spanned over 30 years with Hallmark Cards. During that period Sam traveled and painted plein air landscapes in North America, Italy and Morocco. As an active member of the Ontario Society of Artists, he has been sharing his valuable experience gaining recognition as an accomplished painting workshop instructor for numerous art groups across Ontario.
