Chinese Brush Painting - Plum Blossom
One - 3 Hour Afternoon Workshop

  • Registration:

  • Optional User Fee: $2.50 - All Supplies Provided (For those who don't own brushes or watercolours.)

Students will learn a series of brush loading techniques to create plum blossoms and branches. Time permitting, Carol will demonstrate how the Asians paint birds in just a few strokes. These skills can also be applied to gesture drawing and pottery painting.


About the Artist

Carol Thomson is a Visual Artist living in Innisfil with her family. She teaches for the Simcoe County Board of Education and has been teaching for over 20 years. Her paintings have been for sale in the U.S. and Canadian galleries. She writes poems for her paintings and exhibited her work at The Barrie Art Club in 2013.

Carol studied art at the University of Toronto, at the Sheraton Campus, and won awards. Carol has showed art at the Blackwood Gallery located at the Mississauga Campus for the University of Toronto. Carol graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts.
