Marianne will demonstrate her method for painting loose, dynamic landscapes in acrylics, explaining the techniques and giving a wealth of information in each class.

She will cover planning the painting, composition, selecting the important elements for maximum impact, exciting colour palettes, loose brushwork, blending, texture, hard and soft edges, overall harmony and more.

Marianne provides wonderful reference photos and will give lots of individual assistance and encouragement as you work on your own paintings.

About the Artist

Marianne was born in England but spent much of her childhood in Malaysia. The stunning scenery and abundance of exotic animals and plants heightened her love of nature and keen interest in drawing and painting. Marianne settled in Canada in 1980 and lives in the beautiful countryside near King City, Ontario.

Marianne is a full time artist and a sought after art instructor. Her stunning paintings of flowers, landscapes and abstracts have received numerous awards in juried exhibitions.
