Andrew will begin with an overview of the process of painting, simplification of a complex subject, decision making, action, assessment and adjustment. Andrew will work with you to explore the underlying stories which are being told in every scene we endeavour to paint. Starting with the basics on how to examine individual characteristics of each object in your scene, their relationship with each other, then effectively render them as a cohesive unit. Colour, texture, composition, design, line, brushwork, etc. will be covered.

About the Artist

Andrew Cheddie Sookrah is a Canadian artist living and working in Toronto and an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour, the Society of Canadian Artists (Honourary), the Ontario Society of Artists and the Portrait Society Of Canada. He teaches regularly for The Barrie Art Club as well as other arts organizations.
