Description:

Many painters steer clear of doing portraits, or want to develop more mastery. This one day workshop can help you overcome that fear. Like many subjects, we look at faces but don’t really see what we need to focus on. In this workshop I share eight different techniques to put in your editing toolbox that can also be used for any future art project.

About the Artist:

Harvey Walker paints in oils, both in the studio and en-plein air in all seasons, with the goal of capturing the spirit of the land, while enveloped in it. Often the on-site paintings can stand alone, but they can also be used as inspiration for larger studio works.

When he isn’t painting road or riverside, he can be found sharing his love for painting by encouraging others at his studio two days a week or facilitating en plein air workshops. He participates in the Haliburton Highlands Studio tour. He is proud to be an ambassador and promoter of recreational painting.
