Learn the skills necessary for painting impressionistic winter street scenes with confidence! This subject matter in particular is well suited to this style of watercolours, as the mood and energy of this scenery can be captured uniquely. Instructor will provide step by step guidance from original sketch to finished painting, with time to paint and follow along. Utilizing wet on wet and glazing techniques with focus on an understanding of simple perspective, basic drawing, and learning how to eliminate, participants will be able to create street scenes which come to life!

About the Artist

Hi-Sook Barker is a full time teacher known for her floral and landscape paintings in an impressionistic style. She is an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour and signature member of Toronto Watercolour Society. Currently Hi-Sook teaches at several locations throughout Durham Region. Her original works can be found in collections all over the world.
