About the Artist

Born in Oakville, Ontario, Ruth Ann Pearce's fondness of the arts forced her parents to get her out of the house and into the Oakville Art Society. From there, cartooning, illustration and fine art seemed to be the natural progression.  She then focused on traditional methods of drawing and painting at the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD), earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA).

Today, Ruth Ann creates both traditional and digital narratives of the natural world. Her materials consist of coloured pencil(s), charcoal, ink(s) and acrylic paint(s).
