Artists search for ways to give their work the “Wow” factor. We want viewers to take that extra moment to look at what we have created. One way to achieve this is to paint in the negative. Use the space in and around an object to enhance the illusion of depth and increase the range of values in your painting.

Painting negatively can be a very positive experience!
