'Reflections & Transparency' in Still Life
Thursday Morning Workshop

  • Subject: Drawing Still Life & Painting the Likeness of Metal and Glass Objects
  • Levels: All
  • 4-class series
  • Registration $70 for members and non-members

An extension of the artist's journey. Class will begin with the placement and drawing of the objects. Sharon Black will then show you how to paint metal objects that will tell their own story through light and shadow and by reflecting objects that are around them, and the magical distortion that appears in glass vessels when liquid and flower stems are added.

About the Artist

Art has always been a part of Sharon's life and for many years she traveled and taught throughout Canada and the United States, and as far as Japan. Still life is one of the first art forms that she became involved in before moving on to discover the worlds of plein air and portraiture. Sharon has always felt that once you've learned to accurately draw what you see, you can then apply colour to create light, shadow and depth. This is the path that Sharon walks and she would love to share it with others who are adventurous.
