Loosen up and paint spontaneously by simplifying the landscape photo reference you will work from. Gord will lead you through simplifying the composition with a quick drawing and value sketch from the landscape photo to interpreting to the finished watercolour. Learn to work with “happy” accidents.

Gord will do a demonstration in the morning and afternoon, so you will have an opportunity to work on two paintings. He will offer assistance throughout the day and do critiques at the end of the day.

About the Artist:

Gord lives in Algonquin Highlands and is inspired by the surrounding landscape. Gord has been painting for over 35 years and after experiencing different media, he returned to his greatest love - watercolour. He loves the transparency of the medium and how watercolour allows him to transfer light and shadow in his paintings.
