Kempenfest is an outdoor event located along Kempenfelt Bay, downtown Barrie. It is the largest outdoor arts and crafts festival in North America and draws more than 200,000 people to visit the festival – and they’re predicting another record year in 2024!

The event is an awesome opportunity to exhibit your work!

• Submissions begin July 22nd to July 24th
• Bring up to three paintings to BAC - 11 King St., Barrie
• Jurying begins July 26th and artists will be notified by July 31st
• Fees - $10 per painting or $25 for 3 paintings – fees refunded if your art is not accepted 
• Fees are payable with your submissions - Visa, debit, cash or cheque
  
• BAC will collect 20% commission for any art sold at this exhibit
  
  

RULES for paintings: Please read carefully to ensure your paintings will qualify for this show.

• Size is a maximum of 20” on the longest side
• Paintings must be on gallery wrapped canvas or gallery wooden boards
• Wires are required - ready to hang
• All art must be original and signed legibly on the front
• LABEL on white business card stock with black text including title, artist, medium and price **all paintings must be for sale.
• NO GLASS

Submit up to 20 greeting cards with envelopes and cello wrapped.

$10 entry fee

*BAC will not collect commission from the sale of greeting cards*

All cards will be priced at $7 each

VOLUNTEERING FOR THE BAC TENT

***Tent volunteers are asked to contact sheila.romard@gmail.com for your preferred time at the event. Each 4-hour shift will require 3 people.

• Bring snacks
• Water will be supplied
• Stools/chair will be supplied
• Cash, credit card and cheques will be accepted for payment – we are working to include SQUARE for payment – TBD

Tent hours: Saturday thru to Monday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm ( First shift 10am – 2pm,  Second shift 2pm – 6pm)

There will be 1 in-person meeting for volunteers prior to the event – date TBD
