What is the fastest way to improve your landscape painting? Getting out and painting from real life!  Over two "en plein air" sessions,  we will paint at a different location so you are ready to tackle any place that inspires you to paint outside!  Barbara will teach an efficient recipe for successful "en plein air" painting, and you will practice and refine it with each session. Rain dates may apply, but we will endeavour to find sheltered areas in case rain is forecast.  Locations are noted above. Please note, we will meet AT THE LOCATION where we will be painting, NOT Barrie Art Club to begin at the start time of 10:00 a.m.  Car pooling is encouraged!

About the Artist

Barbara Simmons taught visual arts at the high school level for 30 years. She retired in 2017 to work as a full-time artist. She is past president of the Ontario Society of Artists and has exhibited in juried exhibitions throughout Ontario. She lives in Tiny Township and paints the landscapes she loves.  Barbara also builds her own easels using good hard wood materials, and teaches others how to build them, too!
