**IN-HOUSE - ARTISTIC AVENUES**
Watercolour Christmas Cards
with Lyla Stockdal

ONE -  2 1/2 HOUR SESSION
Saturday, November 30th / 1:00 - 3:30 pm

Lyla will demonstrate special watercolour effects to make unique holiday cards!

REGISTRATION and PAYMENT is required in advance.

REGISTRATION:
- Members: = $10.00
- Non-members: = $20.00

SUPPLIES TO BRING:

• One sheet of watercolour paper 140 CP (cold pressed) Arches 30" x 22" /
  a half sheet can be used if preferred.
  *For best results choose the best paper you can afford. Cheaper ones
  tend to buckle more.
• Construction paper (green, red, or blue - dark colours)
  
• Watercolour Paints: Antwerp blue, Sepia, Viridian, White gouache
  *Tube paints are better since you will be mixing a wash
• 2" or 3" flat brush along with some watercolour brushes:
  1/4" flat, 2/8" flat, “0" brush, 1" fan brush
• Glue or acylic medium
  
• Gold or silver pigma pen - optional
• Black fine point Sharpie marker
• Table salt, pickling/coarse salt and road salt (salt of choice)
  
• Small containers to mix paint (yogurt or pudding)
• Regular watercolour palette if you wish to use other colours
• Other supplies: Pencil, scissors, water container, paper towels,
  yard stick or LONG ruler
• Invitation envelopes (please bring some in order to measure the cards)
  Suggest 4 1/2" x 5 7/8" (Staples or Michaels) or kits with opening to display
  photos (see image).
• *Reference photos of pine trees ( magazine images or your own photos of pine
  or spruce trees in a forest scene)
