Class Description
Zentangle is simple to understand and easy to enjoy. Zentangle patterns can seem complex at first glance but when you see it done, you realize how simple it is. You will learn 20 different tangles, the history of Zentangle and enhancements for your tangles. The result will be a reference you can use in your Zentangle practice and apply to other art forms.
About the Artist
Chari-Lynn Reithmeier is a three-year Honours graduate of Georgian College School of Design and Visual Arts. Chari-Lynn is a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) having trained with the creators of Zentangle (Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas) in 2010. Chari-Lynn has taught entangle and a variety of art disciplines around Southern Ontario including Haliburton School of Design and Visual Arts Blue Mountain Foundation of the Arts, Barrie Art Club, ArtSpark and a variety of schools, businesses and retreats.

.03 Sakura Micron Black Pigma pen (or equivalent)
2B pencil
Tortillon
Art Surface / Support
Bring your own Sketchbook or Notebook.
20 Bijou tiles will be supplied in the purchased kit.

Workshop Outline: Complete boxes accordingly (as noted under each box)

Session 1
Morning Session:
First we will review the basic techniques of Zentangle and its terminology. During the morning session you will learn 10 Zentangle tangles and begin to create a record of tangles for your tangle toolbox.
Session 2
Afternoon Session:
During the afternoon session you will learn 10 more tangles and how to use the Zentangle Legend you have created. You will also learn tangle enhancers, a technique to embellish your basic tangles. The student will have now created a tool to use in their Zentangle practice or other art projects.
