Wielding a knife can be dangerous! A palette knife in the hands of a novice painter can be a challenge. So let me show you how to handle this flexible tool to create a dynamic, textured painting!

About the Artist

Cathy lives on the shores of Georgian Bay in Midland, Ontario. She owns and operates a commercial art gallery in Midland which doubles as her studio, and features her art.
She has been painting for roughly 30 years and is primarily self taught. Primarily an oil painter, Cathy occasionally uses acrylics for some of her abstract waterscapes. Her work has been collected internationally and she is the recipient of several awards. She enjoys painting “en plein air” anywhere on Georgian Bay, where she marvels at the diversity of the shoreline from Midland to Manitoulin Island. You can visit her gallery at 321 King St., Midland.
