Description:

As artists we find there are times when a painting just doesn’t look quite right and requires some tweaking to obtain a sense of accuracy; it's close but not close enough. The goal of this workshop is to increase our confidence as artists in creating a finiahsed painting we are proud to share.  Harvey’s "Top Ten Editing Tips and Tools” can be used to analyze and improve a painting, taking a "lemon" and making "lemonade!"   During our one-day workshop, Harvey will demonstrate each of the Top Ten and practiced, using our own paintings to try them out!  

About the Artist:

Harvey Walker is returning to Barrie Art Club as an instructor and has been painting for over 30 years. Harvey is a full-time artist who spent his earlier career as a master cabinet designer and craftsman.  He took his love of painting in oil to the forefront in 2010.  His works have been featured in numerous juried shows, solo and group shows and the Haliburton Studio Tour. He is an avid plein air painter, from roadside to riverside, and thoroughly enjoys sharing his love for painting by teaching at his Boathouse Studio in Carnarvon. Editing and refining his paintings started ‘en plein air” have given Harvey the experience to develop tried and true methods for editing what was started outdoors.
