Class Description
Join Sam Paonessa's Spring workshop painting a tulip garden.

Springtime Complements - Strong light makes these tulips explode with rich vibrant red and pink colours. Bright warm greens surround the complementary red flowers which helps enhance the focal area. This exercise will be an enjoyable challenge working with a garden variety of red, green warm and cool combinations. You will also be able to work at the interplay of light and shadow both seen in the background and foreground.

Remember to look for big shapes first and not to get caught up with all those little details too early.

Under Paint Suggestion: Keep bright areas like the bright tulips light and use a pale transparent yellow green for lower half of painting. Use a cool colour for shadowed area at top.
